Statistics: Russians’ consumer confidence flat at minus 8% Apr–Jun

MOSCOW, Jul 5 (PRIME) -- The consumer confidence index remained flat on the quarter at minus 8% in April–June, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on Thursday.

The share of people who think that recent changes in the economy are positive remained flat on the quarter at 19% in April–June, while the share of negative estimates went up to 31% from 30%, and the share of neutral estimates fell to 49% from 51%.

The amount of people that expect economic improvement in the next 12 months rose to 25% from 23%, while the share of people that see negative dynamics in the Russian economy increased to 25% from 23%. The share of neutral estimates shrank to 51% from 54%.
